For the third time the Sun Belt will face the Mountain West in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Here is the entire bowl lineup for these conferences.
History
Since the first playing of the New Orleans Bowl in 2000, the game has been a season capstone for the Sun Belt Conference. For most of the first 13 games the Conference USA provided the challenger. This year we welcome back the Mountain West. Back in 2011 the Mountain West was represented by San Diego State who fell to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The inaugural New Orleans Bowl, played in 2001, featured Mountain West and Sun Belt when Colorado State played North Texas.
This year more games have been added to the college bowl season. The Sun Belt picked up their third bowl tie in with the return of the Camellia Bowl in Montgomery Alabama.
