Appalachian State came to Cajun field needing a win and their stats said it was possible. With their win Appalachian State moves closer to bowl bid for the Sun Belt.
Lafayatte
In what many thought was a sure win for Ragin Cajuns fell apart late in the game. Appalachian State was able to shut down UL Lafayette’s offense. The Cajuns were held to less than 260 total yards as Appalachian State tallied up more than 400. This was the least amount of yards to be completed by the Cajuns since their loss to Boise in week 4. In comparison, the boys from Louisiana-Lafayette had more total yards against Ole Miss in week 3’s loss.
Big Win for Mountaineers
Appalachian State now has 6 wins and have game 12 to capture a winning season. They join 3 other Sun Belt teams who have 6 wins with 1 game remaining. The Mountaineers complete their season against the 1-9 Idaho Vandals. The other 6 win teams all have 3 conference losses. Appalachian State will finish the season with only two.
